PosiTest AIR
The PosiTest AIR leak tester enables fast, reliable detection of air or water leaks in building envelopes and rigid air barrier systems. Whether it’s fasteners, masonry ties, joint sealing, or membrane continuity, this tool helps ensure that protective barriers perform properly—by locating leaks invisible to the naked eye.
It is designed for use with single- and two-ply membranes, liquid applied membrane systems, sprayed polyurethane foam (SPF), boardstock, metal liners, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), EPDM roofing membranes and other waterproofing systems. Conforms to the ASTM E1186 standard.

How It Works:

Apply the test solution to the area you want to test (around fasteners, seams, joints, etc.). The solution acts as a soapy liquid to reveal leaks by bubbles.

Place the clear test chamber over the area and seal it properly.

Depressurise the chamber either using the automatic mode with set rate or using manual mode, and observe any bubble formation which indicates a leak.

Record & store the result (you can store up to 200 tests) including rate, pressure differential, time, and your Pass/Fail determination. The data can then be downloaded to a PC using USB and PosiSoft Desktop.

Is training required to use the PosiTest AIR?
No specialist training is needed. The unit includes intuitive controls, clear manuals, helpful videos and tech support to guide you.
What comes with the test solution and is it suitable for all temperatures?
The kit includes test solution (typically 8 oz bottles with dauber). The standard solution works between about -10°C to 65°C; a low-temperature version is available for colder environments.
Can I continue testing while charging?
Yes, the device supports operation from AC power while the internal battery recharges.
How many readings can I store, and how do I download them?
Up to 200 tests stored in internal memory. Results include rate, time, pressure differential, and Pass/Fail. Download via USB using PosiSoft Desktop Software.
How long does the battery last?

How stable is the test solution over time?
